# Keep the depth. Stop being the analyst.

Keep a detailed nutrient diary while bringing food, workouts, sleep, and recovery into one app. Your old food log does not transfer, so the decision is about the workflow you want from here.

## What is different once you are here

Two of these are free and two are POWR Pro. The page says which is which rather than blurring them.

Every entry, free

### The depth stays

Calories, macros, vitamins and minerals with %DV where a reference value exists, and ingredient-level data. You are not trading a nutrient diary for a calorie counter.

POWR Pro

### Something reads it

On Pro, the coach discusses the food you logged in plain language. Review the ingredients and portions first; an AI interpretation can be wrong.

POWR Pro

### The plate you never scan

Photo logging for the restaurant meal that was never going to be in a database. Review the estimate before it counts.

Every entry, free

### One app for the day

Recorded workouts, sleep, and recovery sit beside the food diary. Structured training plans are available on Pro, separately from the free tracking features.

## What arrives on the first launch

POWR requests 54 read types from HealthKit in one permission sheet. Whatever your setup already wrote there is history POWR can read on day one.

Workouts

Every session Apple Health holds, with route and heart rate where the app that recorded them saved those too. You do not retype a run another app already wrote.

Sleep

Sleep and heart history from Apple Health can provide context. Readings may be unavailable until enough recent data is present.

Heart

Resting rate, variability, and the raw signals underneath. Several of those POWR reads on the phone and sends nowhere.

Weight and body

The weigh-ins your scale or your last app wrote to Health. Permitted weight history is available alongside your new food diary.

Nutrition is the one that does not.

Your food diary does not transfer. POWR can read permitted workouts, sleep, heart, and body measurements from Apple Health. Adaptive features depend on the history available.

## Keep the depth, add context

A familiar nutrient breakdown can be useful without commentary. If you want to ask about a meal, POWR Pro adds a conversation using the information you have logged.

Moving apps does not make the underlying food record more accurate. Check the food match and serving first, especially when rebuilding frequently used meals in a new diary.

## FAQ

### I searched for a MacroFactor alternative and landed here. Why?

This migration page covers the shared boundary: POWR does not import either food diary. For feature differences, use [POWR versus MacroFactor](https://powrhealth.com/compare/macrofactor); for the move itself, check which records are already available in Apple Health.

### Can I import my Cronometer export?

No. POWR has no importer, and nutrition is a category it writes to Apple Health rather than reads from it. Workouts, sleep, heart, and weight all come across through Health. The diary starts on install day. [What moves and what does not](https://powrhealth.com/switch) has the full accounting.

### Is the nutrient database as good?

No. Cronometer's verified database is the deepest in the category and it is why people use it. POWR covers barcode, search, manual entry, and saved meals, holds micronutrients on every free entry, and adds photo logging on Pro for the food no database has.

### Does the free tier really include micronutrients?

Yes. Calories, macros, vitamins, minerals, and ingredient data are on every entry, free, along with adaptive calorie and macro targets recalculated weekly. POWR Pro is the AI: photo logging, chat, daily insights, and the coach's read.

### Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. Apple Health brings workouts, heart, sleep, and weight in when they exist, from whatever wrote them. The phone is enough to log food.

### How do I cancel Pro?

On iPhone: Settings, your Apple ID, Subscriptions, POWR Pro. You keep Pro until the end of the current period.
