A strength specialist. Or the rest of the day around the workout.
Fitbod specializes in personalized workout recommendations built from training history, goals, muscle recovery, equipment, and preferences. POWR builds periodized programs too, but its larger argument is that the workout should share a record with food, sleep, recovery, body trends, and bloodwork.
Side by side
Choose around the job. Fitbod is the specialist in this comparison. POWR is the broader record.
| POWR | Fitbod | |
|---|---|---|
| Personalized strength recommendation (POWR loses) | Deterministic multi-week plans with goal-specific phases, progression, and planned deloads on Pro. | A core product job, personalized from training history, goals, muscle recovery, equipment, and preferences. |
| Live strength logging | Reps, load, timed holds, distance, supersets, derived rest, RIR, previous schemes, PR badges, and a plate calculator. | A core product job with sets, reps, load, rest, history, and workout customization. |
| Nutrition and calorie targets | A complete diary with macros, micronutrients, ingredients, and a target measured from weight trend and logged intake. | Check theirs — this page will not quote a tier that can change next week. |
| Whole-body recovery | Sleep, readiness, muscle recovery, heart signals, cycle context, and training load against your own baseline. | Muscle-group recovery is part of the workout recommendation model. |
| Bloodwork | 93 biomarkers from a reviewed lab PDF or photo, using the ranges printed by the lab. | Check theirs — this page will not quote a tier that can change next week. |
| Platforms (POWR loses) | iPhone and Apple Watch only. | iPhone, Android, Apple Watch, Wear OS, and connected health integrations. |
| Current price and tiers | Published on the pricing page, with the free and Pro boundary in one table. | Check theirs — this page will not quote a tier that can change next week. |
Where Fitbod wins
Fitbod is built around the next strength workout. Its official documentation says recommendations use training history, goals, muscle recovery, available equipment, and preferences, with many ways to tune the session. If that recommendation loop is the whole job, specialization is an advantage. Read Fitbod's algorithm overview.
Fitbod also supports Android and Wear OS. POWR does not. Its Apple Health integration can import compatible activity and body-composition data into recommendations, so this is not a comparison between a connected app and an isolated one. Read Fitbod's Apple Health documentation.
Pick Fitbod instead if
Any one of these is enough. They are not weighed against a list of POWR's advantages, because that is how a real decision works.
- A personalized next strength workout is the main product you want.
- You want the broader workout customization of a dedicated strength specialist.
- You use Android or Wear OS.
