Our approach. Evidence, with context.
Useful health guidance should explain what the evidence supports, what remains uncertain, and where an estimate stops being an answer.
Start with the question
A calorie target, a food log, and a recovery reading answer different questions. We keep those questions separate. A food can fit a calorie budget without meeting every nutritional need; a recovery estimate is not permission to ignore pain.
POWR connects nutrition, activity, sleep, and the information you choose to share. It is a wellness tool, not a diagnostic service or a replacement for individual care.
Make the evidence checkable
Our learning guides link to the research, professional guidance, or public reference behind a consequential claim. We distinguish findings from practical suggestions and identify the population a source studied.
A study is not a universal prescription. We consider what was measured, who took part, the study design, and the limits of applying group results to one person. Newer is not automatically stronger, and one favorable study does not settle a question.
Keep estimates in perspective
Food portions, wearable readings, and calculated targets all have limits. More decimal places do not remove that uncertainty. Missing information is not evidence that a nutrient, activity, or health problem is absent.
Use the app to notice patterns and prepare better questions. Check entries before saving them and bring health concerns to a qualified professional. A target in an app cannot establish that a diet or exercise plan is safe for you.
Education and personal guidance answer different questions
We publish general educational methods, their assumptions, and their sources. The standalone tools in our guides illustrate those public methods; they do not reproduce the personalized results in the app.
Use the guides to understand a concept and its limitations. For choices that depend on your medical history or individual health needs, seek qualified personal guidance.
Corrections belong in the open
Each learning guide names POWR as its publisher and shows when its sources were checked. This is editorial work, not an independent clinical review. We do not claim a medical reviewer where there has not been one.
If you find an error, contact the team with the page, the claim, and a supporting source. Please do not send personal health records to report a content correction. We will assess the claim and update the page when a correction is warranted.
