Keep the budget. Bring the context with it.

Moving from Lose It means starting a new food diary in POWR. Adaptive targets can sit alongside weight history, workouts, and recovery; the estimates are only as useful as the records behind them.

What changes about the number

Two of these are free and two are POWR Pro. The page says which rather than blurring them.

Free

Adaptive calorie estimates

POWR can adapt calorie and macro targets using your food logs, weight history, and goals. These remain estimates, not direct measurements of metabolism.

Every entry, free

Micronutrients on the way down

Vitamins and minerals remain visible alongside calories, with %DV where a reference value exists. A calorie total alone does not describe the nutrient content of the foods you logged.

POWR Pro

Something reads the diary

On Pro, the coach discusses the food you logged in plain language. Review the ingredients and portions first; an AI interpretation can be wrong.

POWR Pro

Photo logging

For the meal that was never going to be in a database. Review the estimate before it counts.

What arrives on the first launch

Your weigh-ins are the ones that matter on this switch, and if your scale or your last app wrote them to Apple Health, POWR reads them on the first launch.

Workouts

Every session Apple Health holds, with route and heart rate where the app that recorded them saved those too. You do not retype a run another app already wrote.

Sleep

Sleep and heart history from Apple Health can provide context. Readings may be unavailable until enough recent data is present.

Heart

Resting rate, variability, and the raw signals underneath. Several of those POWR reads on the phone and sends nowhere.

Weight and body

The weigh-ins your scale or your last app wrote to Health. Permitted weight history is available alongside your new food diary.

Nutrition is the one that does not.

Your food diary does not transfer. POWR can read permitted workouts, sleep, heart, and body measurements from Apple Health. Adaptive features depend on the history available.

A budget is a constraint, not a plan

A daily budget answers how much energy you are aiming to log. It does not describe the foods in that budget, the training around it, or whether the target is appropriate for you.

POWR puts nutrient details and adaptive estimates beside your activity record. Start by rebuilding the meals you use often; compare the new entries with their labels rather than expecting the old diary to arrive.

What is free and what Pro adds is on pricing. iPhone only.

FAQ

No. POWR is iPhone only, so if you are logging on Android this is not a switch you can make today. An Android app is on the roadmap rather than in the current release.
If those weigh-ins are in Apple Health and you grant access, POWR can read them. History stored only in the previous app does not transfer. Your food diary starts fresh in POWR.
No. POWR has no importer, and nutrition is a category it writes to Apple Health rather than reads from it. Workouts, sleep, heart, and weight all come across through Health. The diary does not. What moves and what does not has the full accounting.
No. The large calorie-counter catalogues are bigger and POWR does not match them. POWR covers barcode scanning, database search, manual entry, and saved meals, holds micronutrients on every free entry, and adds photo logging on Pro for the plate no database was ever going to have.
No. There is no streak counter and no badge shelf, and notifications are deliberately restrained — restraint as a mechanism rather than a promise. If a streak is the thing that keeps you logging, that is a real reason to stay where you are.
